Store Hours and Location

Golden Acre only has one location in Calgary. We are located in north Calgary just off of Deerfoot Trail, just minutes away from downtown. You can find our exact location here.

We are open 7 days a week year-round. We are open most holidays. We are closed on December 25th, 26th and January 1st. Our hours vary seasonally. Please check here for more information.

Our Houseplants department is open year-round. Our other live goods departments are open mid spring (April) dependent on weather.

Typically, they start arriving in March. This is dependent on weather and supply.

Live Plants, Gift Cards & Products

While we cannot pre-order or special order plants we can take requests. If it possible we will bring it in, and can call you when it arrives. Please contact our Houseplant department for more information. Due to supplies and growing conditions, we are unable to determine what plants are coming in at any given time.

Yes. Our Canadian and US customers can purchase an online gift card here.

Yes. We carry sod, firewood, soil, mulch and stone. We offer most of these both loose and in Big Bag (1 cubic yard). This is available for purchase instore and online. Bulk is seasonal from Spring until Fall. We sell bulk firewood online and in store year-round.

We are proud to say that we have one of the largest selections of eco-friendly and organic products. We carry non-GMO seeds, heirloom seeds, organic soils, organic fertilizers, eco-friendly insect controls, humane animal controls, chemical free weed controls and pet-friendly products

Golden Acre is compliant with all AHS protocols. We have hand wash and sanitize stations throughout the store.

Yes. Golden Acre is a fun destination for the entire family. Feel free to snap a picture and tag us on social media. We love to see your furry family members.

We offer a 15% Seniors Discount 7 days a week on most regular priced items for in-store purchases. In order to qualify you must be 65 years old and provide a piece of ID to the cashiers at the time of purchase.

Every department in the store is on one level with no stairs to navigate.

Yes, we have public washrooms.

At this time Golden Acre is unable to do a landscape design.

We are not partnered with any landscaper or landscaping companies at this time.

We have spent years developing our online store to allow customers to shop from the comfort of their home. Unfortunately, we currently do not have a mechanism to process phone orders.
