FAQs
How do I sell my art?
Golden Acre has a point-of-sale system built in, when your art sells it will go through our registers. When your allotted gallery time ends Golden Acre will give you a cheque for all art sold.
What happens when I sell a piece?
When you sell a piece the price tag will be replaced with a sold sign. Golden Acre will have the contact information of the purchaser. The art will remain on the wall until the end of your allotted showing. At which point you can contact the buyer to arrange pick-up/drop off.
Who is responsible for hanging my art, and taking it down?
Handling the art will be the sole responsibility of the artist. There will be staff to assist you should you have any questions, but the actual handling must be done/arranged by the artist.
When is The Conservatory Collective open?
As Golden Acre is also a locally owned and operated retail store The Conservatory Collective will be accessible to all during regular store hours.
Can I have an opening/vernissage for my show?
Absolutely. As long as it falls during regular business hours, we would love it if you took advantage of your gallery space and had an event, we will just ask that you contact us for occupancy and regulations.
How do I hang my art?
We have installed a professional gallery hanging system. The STAS cliprail pro picture hanging system. These cables and hooks have a 30lb test suitable for most paintings and photos.
Is there a commission charged?
Yes, there is a 25% commission charged on all art works sold. This money is invested back into the gallery to keep it operational for future artists to showcase their work.
