WEST COAST SEEDS RADISH RVIOLI

Rivoli radish is an AAS award winner that is prized for its uniformity of colour, size, and growth rate. The roots are evenly coloured bright red all over and very round. The smooth, dense flesh is crisp with a notably bright flavour.

Harvest the roots when they are 4cm (1½”) in diameter, or let them grow a bit bigger – they won't become woody.

The upright, healthy looking leaves make the bunched radishes highly marketable for growers.

For home gardeners, this radish works in larger patio containers, raised beds, or right in the vegetable row.

Matures in 30 days. (Open-pollinated seeds)

Growing Radishes from Seed

Radishes can be grown all season but they're easiest when sown just after the last frost date and again at the end of summer and into the fall. Seeds should sprout in 5-7 days.

Companion Planting For Radishes

Plant radishes near beans, beets, celeriac, chervil, cucumber, lettuce, mint, parsnip, peas, spinach, squash, and tomatoes.

Avoid planting near Agastache or potatoes.

It is said that planting 3 or 4 icicle radishes around the mound where you plant squash, and allowing them to grow and bloom, will prevent most pests of squash and cucumber.
