WEST COAST SEEDS HUNGARIAN BLACK PEPPER

  • Gorgeous jalapeno-shaped peppers mature from bright green to nearly jet black, and finally to intense scarlet red.
  • The productive 60cm (2ft) tall plants are loaded with fruits of medium heat.
  • Use the pods interchangeably with jalapeno peppers for a shock of colour in dips and salsas.
  • The flavour of these peppers really brightens as they mature, and the colours stand out on market tables.
  • Try Black Hungarian pepper seeds in patio containers, but aim to keep the soil constantly moist during the growing season, and keep the plants well ventilated by allowing air circulation around the containers.
  • These untreated seeds are for organic growing and are non-GMO. matures in 75 days(open pollinated seeds)

    Growing Pepper Seeds

  • Peppers need plenty of time to mature before they will bloom and set fruit.
  • Start indoors six to eight weeks before the last frost date, grow under bright lights.
  • Transplant only when weather has really warmed up. Night time low temperatures should be consistently above 12°C (55°F) before hardening off pepper plants and transplanting outdoors.
  • Soil temperature for germination: 25-29°C (78-85°F). Using a heat mat for your pepper seeds is ideal. Seeds should sprout in 10 – 21 days.
