- I want to pick up my order curbside. How does it work?
We have made it simple:
- Select your items online
- Click FREE Store Pick
- Choose the day and time slot for pick-up
- Arrive at Golden Acre and follow the directions to our Store Pick Up Area
- Park at one of our 6 designated Pick up stalls
- Call the number provided on the sign and pop your trunk
- Our staff will load your order in your car while ensuring proper social distancing
- I chose delivery for my online order. When can I expect it to arrive?
Due to the unprecedented current demand for deliveries, orders are being delivered in 2 – 8 business days. Under normal circumstances, orders are delivered within 2 business days
- I live out of town. Why am I not able to select local delivery for my order?
During this pandemic, we are only servicing Calgary for deliveries of:
- Live Plants
- Large bags of soil, stone, and mulch
- Oversized items and goods weighing over 50 lbs
- Patio Furniture and Umbrellas
Regular delivery services to local cities and towns (include hyperlink of towns) will commence when things normalize
- Why am I not able to select FREE store pick up for my order?
You may be outside of the radius that Golden Acre is servicing for FREE store pick up. Here is a link to the towns we are currently servicing (include hyperlink of towns)
- Is it safe to shop in your store?

- I am not finding what I am looking for online?
Golden Acre was the first online garden center in Canada and one of the first of its kind in North America. Our online store has between 5500 -16,000 items online and we are adding more each week. Due to unprecedented online demand, some items may be temporarily out of stock. Our procurement team is constantly re-stocking. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please check again online in a few days.

We have spent years developing our online store to allow customers to shop from the comfort of their home. Unfortunately, we currently do not have a mechanism to process phone orders
- How long has Golden Acre been around?
Golden Acre has been Calgary’s garden center since 1967.

We are proud to say that we have one of the largest selections of eco-friendly and organic products. We carry non-GMO seeds, heirloom seeds, organic soils, organic fertilizers, eco-friendly insect controls, humane animal controls, chemical free weed controls and pet-friendly products
