Golden Acre is a real favorite among serious gardeners and part of the reason is our selection of Perennials. With over a 1000 varieties its unlikely we don’t have what you are looking for. We are recognized for always offering the seasons new and exciting specimens, some of the plants grown right here at our store. We grow and care for these rare plant from being small seedlings. Echinacea are stunning flowers with a large range of colors and interesting plant names. White to red, Green Envy to Tomato Soup, new varieties such as Pow Pow Wild Berry, Hot summer and Irresistible. How fun!

 

Heuchera’s, also known as Coral Bells are an all purpose plant for sun or shade. They are known best for their leave color, almost black in Obsidian to chartreuse in Tiramisu, from pewter silver in Stormy Seas to Midnight Rose black spotted with hot pink. Heuchera’s striking leaf color with flowers from white to red bells are a must for every yard.

 

Hostas, Hostas Hostas! We have an abundant supply from Abique Drinking Gourd to Zounds. Sizes range from miniatures such as Mouse Ears at 10” to the new largest variety called Jurassic Park growing up to 50”. From First Frost to Blue Hawaii, you can create your Hosta Paradise at Golden Acre.

 

We carry a substantial inventory of shade plants. Tall background plants like Ligularia, Cimicifuga Aruncus, Monkshood, midsize from Bleeding Hearts, Trollius and Heucherella to border plants such as Lily of the Valley, Primula, and several varieties of Lamium and Columbine.

Our sun to mid sun plants from the old fashion to the new wave, Delphiniums, Hollyhocks, Dianthus, Campanula, Rudbeckia, Lillies and of course a selection of Peonies just to name a few.
